Today we discussed the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). We took one slide of notes on the overview of the PLO and then you completed a timeline for important dates related to the PLO as well as the Israel-Palestine Conflict.

**One correction on the Timeline activity it says the PLO was formed in 1968, that is a typo (whoops) the actual date is 1964.**

Today we practiced a good educational skill: Reading Comprehension. You read an article on the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict and then answered three comprehension questions. As a class we graded each others quizzes. After the quiz you wrote 2 GISTs over two sections (your choice) of the article. Tomorrow we will look more in-depth at the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

We ended this week by viewing parts of the documentary Death in Gaza. This showed you what life is like in the conflict zones of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. There were 3 activities that accompanied the film (before, during, and after):

1) Answered this question: What do you think a documentary that is called Death in Gaza will be about and why?

2) Recorded 10 statements of shock to what you view in the documentary

3) Choose either a child or militant from the film and describe what life is like for them living in the Gaza Strip. You must include details from the film. Responses should be about 5-7 sentences.
